News

Specialist Schools Netball Carnival

Our first carnival is in Week 10 on Wednesday 10 April against other Netball Specialist Program Schools at Wanneroo Districts Netball Association.  It is used as a practice day leading into the SSWA Champion Schools Tournament. This carnival is competitive and challenging. Coaching staff have the opportunity to trial a variety of combinations of players on court in competitive match play to further grade teams for the beginning of the inter-school season in Term 2.

Association Netball

Pre-season training for Club/Association Netball is its final stages of preparation for the 2019 Netball Season. The following students were selected to represent their Association in the inaugural Metro League competition which is in progress now with finals to commence next week. Congratulations to Metro League players.  We wish you success in this prestigious event being held by Netball WA.

Excursions/Incursions

Year 7 Indoor Netball Training

Tuesday 12, 19 and 26 March, 2 April.  Year 7 students to participate in indoor netball training to avoid hot weather.  Venue: Morley Sport and Recreation Centre.  Depart College 1.50pm,  return to College 2.50pm.  For clothing and other items required, please see permission slip available here.

Year 9 Indoor Netball Training

Thursday 28 February, 7, 14, 21, 28 March and 4 April.  Year 9 students to participate in indoor netball training to avoid hot weather.  Venue: Morley Sport and Recreation Centre.  Depart College 1.50pm,  return to College 2.50pm.  For clothing and other items required, please see permission slip available here.

Year 10 Indoor Netball Training

Year 7 - 9 Specialist Netball Carnival 2019

Wednesday 10 April 2019. Students will be consolidating skills and strategies in pressure situations coached to date in a match play fixture against like Specialist Netball Program teams.  Certificate III Sport and Recreation (Netball) students will assist with coaching on the day.  Venue: Wanneroo Districts Netball Association.  Depart College 8.00am, return to College 2.30pm.  For clothing and other items required, please see permission slip available here.

Year 9 Netball Recovery Session

Thursday 11 April 2019.  This excursion will provide recovery for Year 9 students following the all day Specialist Netball Carnival.  Students will gain information to assist them with their Sports Injury Assignment to be completed in Term 2.  Depart College 2.00pm, return to College 2.55pm.  For clothing and other items required, please see permission slip available here.

 

Year 10 - 12  Gold Coast Netball Tour 2019

Saturday 6 - Monday 15 July 2019. Netball Academy students are invited to travel to the Gold Coast in July 2019 to participate in the Gold Coast Netball Carnival involving Netball against students from Australia and New Zealand.  The students will be able to apply game skills and strategies in game situations as well as extending their interpersonal and self-management skills.  For clothing and other items required, please see permission slip available here.
