Tennis Specialist Program
Our Specialist Tennis Program is a Department of Education Approved Specialist Program and is endorsed by TennisWest.
John Campbell, former State League Player and Coach of the Year, coordinates and teaches/coaches the program. John was previously ranked in the top ten for singles and doubles in WA.
Our program provides students with the opportunity to pursue their interest in tennis under the guidance of expert coaches and through a variety of competitions.

Students study two hours per week in Years 7-8 and four hours per week in Years 9-10, receive coaching and the opportunity to be involved in regular competitions. The opportunity exists for senior school students to further their passion for the sport by studying university and Training WA (TAFE) bound courses.
Specialist Tennis Program students are expected to maintain a high level of achievement in Tennis and all other learning areas.
The program has produced a number of successes:
- Most Outstanding School for 2022 at the recent TennisWest Awards Night
- Slazenger Cup winners
- Finalist in Slazenger Cup, Division 1 and 2
- Finalist in Herbert Edwards Cup, Division 1 and 2

Specialist Tennis Program not offered in Year 7 2025 and 2026.
We are proud to offer students the opportunity to pursue their individual interests and strengths through participation in one of our four Specialist Programs. The Specialist Programs are timetabled as electives. Queries about the impact of this on student course selection may be discussed with the Deputy Principal. Students enrolled in the Tennis Specialist Program have many exciting opportunities to develop strong tennis, teamwork and leadership skills. With those opportunities comes the responsibility to commit to the program and the team.
