Compass is Live

John Forrest SC has transitioned to the management system Compass as of Tuesday 27 May 2025.

Your Compass Parent Portal log in details will be emailed to you between Tuesday 27 May and Thursday 29 May 2025. A log in guide for desktops and Mobile devices can be found here.

Communication with students and families will be through Compass. Compass has some features new to our College community, and which we are looking forward to using. These include a phone App for attendance communication; students scanning their Smartrider to sign in/out, and in Term 3, an Events module for excursion management.

The first change you will notice is with Absentee communications. From Tuesday 27 May if your child is absent, you will receive an SMS from Compass. Our current attendance SMS number is no longer be in use.

The SMS from Compass will contain a link for you to report the absence. The link is safe for you to click and is valid for 48 hours. The SMS will be similar to the image below.

 To can report a child's absence to the College by either:
