Painting and Plumbing Try-a-Trade

JFSC is fortunate to have a purpose-built Trade Training Centre on site, and in Week 7 fifteen Year 9 boys spent three days there working under the guidance of NextGen Skills trainers.

They boys practised problem-solving, active listening and teamwork skills as they completed several painting and plumbing tasks, including the construction and testing of a sprinkler.

They gained a firsthand taste of the facilities and training available to our Senior school students and developed their understanding of the attributes required to be successful in the construction trades.
